Heritage Building: A historic gem on the waterfront
Dating from the period between late 1941 and mid-1943, this historic building radiates charm and character.
Before becoming Hotel Monumenti, this imposing structure served as military barracks, shaping part of Pula’s 20th-century history. It was originally built as an administrative facility (palazzina ufficiali) for the Royal Submarine School of the Kingdom of Italy.
The building is recognized for its high architectural value (as assessed in the Conservation Study by MODUS d.o.o., authored by architect Bruno Nefat, 2011) and carries cultural significance at both local and regional levels.
Today, it is protected under heritage conservation laws, ensuring the preservation of its authentic historical identity.
