Pula is well connected by road. The main route is the A9 motorway (Istrian Ypsilon), which links Pula with the rest of Istria and the Croatian highway network.
Travel time from Zagreb is about 3 hours, and from Ljubljana approximately 2.5 hours. Tolls apply and can be paid by cash, card, or ENC device.
By Air
Pula Airport is located about 6 km from the city center and offers numerous seasonal and year-round flights.

By Sea
Pula’s port offers seasonal catamaran routes connecting the city with Italy and the Croatian islands.
In summer, ferries run to Venice (via Venezia Lines and Adriatic Lines), with a journey time of about 3.5 hours.
Domestically, Pula is linked with the islands of Unije, Susak, Silba, Ilovik, Lošinj, and the city of Zadar – especially during the tourist season. The port is located in the city center.
By Train
Pula’s railway station is located along the waterfront, just a short walk from the city center.
The city is connected by rail to Rijeka, Zagreb, and Ljubljana, though travel times may be longer due to transfers and track layout.
