Croatia’s most visited aquarium is located within the historic Verudela Fortress, a former Austro-Hungarian stronghold.
Since 2002, the fortress has been transformed into an aquarium that unites Pula’s naval history with the wonders of the Adriatic Sea. Hundreds of marine species are on display, including sharks, jellyfish, seahorses, and sea turtles, cared for in a dedicated Sea Turtle Rescue Center.
